Hammond High Diamonds... full STEAM ahead, an experience of a lifetime

Purpose
To deepen the impact of existing STEAM related subject matter and bring real-world experiences to high school girls broadening the way they think about science and the arts.
To expand STEAM knowledge for minorities girls and increase their interest.

On Monday, March 5, 2012 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM we will celebrate the success and achievements of this select group of students. We extend this invitation to the scholars, their parents, administrators and special guest. PROGRAM GOAL: To provide high school minority girls with the resources and foundation needed to realize their full potential in Science, Technology, Engineering, Creative-Arts and Math (STEAM). The evening will include inspirational messages that focus on confidence, leadership and perseverance, informational sessions on college and career exploration, summer enrichment programs and paid internships. The Diamonds administration in partnership with Discovery Education, The Science Cheerleaders Foundation and the American Association of University Women have an evening full of fun, education and inspiration planned.
